Mr. Rupert R. Amy is president of Careers Transitions Inc. and Chairman of the Board of CAREERS INC., the leading executive recruiting firm in Puerto Rico. A native of San Juan, Rupert has over 35 years of experience in Management, Marketing and Public Relations. Before joining CAREERS INC. in 1988, Rupert was General Manager for 10 years at Public Relations Group, Inc., the public relations affiliate of Martí, Flores, Prieto & Wachtel, one of the island's largest advertising agencies. On November 1994, Rupert purchased a majority interest in CAREERS INC. In April 2008 entered into a purchase agreement with partners, Ruth González, Carla Deyo and Clara Amiama.
In April of 2003, Career Transitions Inc. was incorporated as an affiliate company of Careers Inc., specializing in outplacement services for both international and local companies as well as being able to offer Executive Coaching and Training and Development services to its clients.
Rupert's marketing and management experience comes from his years working with the Economic Development Administration (Fomento) as a Marketing Director and the Tourism Development Company as Special Assistant to the Executive Director. Rupert was also a Marketing Consultant with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co., and spent three years as Sales & Marketing Vice President of Palmas del Mar Resort in Humacao.
On the academic side, Rupert has an MBA in Marketing from the University of Florida, and is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of Puerto Rico. Rupert is past President of the Sales and Marketing Executives Association of San Juan, a former member of the Board of Trustees of St. John's School and of the Executive Committee of United Way of Puerto Rico. Rupert served on the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, where he served for 8 years. Rupert is an accredited Public Relations Professional as certified by the Public Relations Society of America.

Viviane M. Fortuño
President/Partner of Careers Transitions Inc., a company with over twenty years of experience in Transition Management, Executive Coaching and Leadership Development.
Viviane has over fifteen years’ experience in the areas of outplacement, leadership development, organizational transformation, executive coaching and human resources consulting.
Before joining Career Transitions Inc.as General Manager in 2003, Viviane while living in Panama for six years, was Associate Director of Konzerta a local Human Resources consulting company and pioneered their Outplacement Services. She also worked for three years in charge of the closing of the US Army Southern Command in Panama where she managed the career change of 3,000 civilian employees.
Viviane has a Master’s Degree in Industrial /Organizational Behavior from Columbia University. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education/ Psychology from Boston College.
An active member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and International Coaching Federation (ICF). She has been a speaker at many conferences and professional organizations and in 2004 was awarded “Business woman of the year”. Viviane is former President of the Board of Directors for Ballet Teatro Nacional de Puerto Rico.
Victoria is a human resources professional, certified executive coach and corporate lawyer with international experience. She holds the position of Managing Director at Career Transitions Inc., the leading HR consulting company in Puerto Rico, servicing both multinational and local clients, including many Fortune 500 companies.
She has wide variety of experience working with top management in the enhancement of organizational effectiveness, executive coaching (with over 550 hours of accredited coaching hours), leadership optimization, team building, change management, effective communication, and cultural awareness and diversity, having worked within multiple industries including pharmaceutical, consumer goods, energy, financial services, manufacturing, automotive, distribution, media, among others.
Prior to re-joining Career Transitions Inc., she worked for five years as Senior Consultant in Human Leaders Group, in their Mexico City office, specializing in organizational development, with main focus on executive coaching, leadership and talent development, outplacement and career planning. Before, she was Organizational Development Director and Training & Development Manager at Career Transitions Inc.
She has 10+ years of experience in corporate legal consulting, and has led negotiations in numerous multinational corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate reorganizations and business deals. She has extensive experience conducting business negotiations in the US and Latin America, and has served as Board Member in various companies. She has been a member of Basílico, Fernandez Madero & Duggan, a major law firm based in Buenos Aires, and foreign associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, one of the top law firms based in New York.
Victoria is a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) by the United States’ Human Resources Certification Center, and a Certified Executive Coach by the University of Puerto Rico. She holds a Law Degree from the Universidad Católica Argentina, and postgraduate studies at the Center for American and International Law, Mediation and Arbitration, in Dallas, Texas. She is an active member of the US Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the International Coach Federation (ICF), and the International Bar Association (IBA).
